Spellings

Children are taught a range of strageties to help them learn spellings and spelling patterns.

Both year groups are learning spellings for homework that relate to different spelling patterns and sounds. These spelling patterns and sounds are taken from the National Curriulum Guidelines. Below, are the spelling lists that the National Curriculum expects both Year 2 and Year 3 to be able to use and spell correctly within their writing.
