How to Enter

Terms and Conditions

The Big Lego Lockdown Competition is organised and run by Friends of Plymtree School (registered charity number: 1046679) with the purpose of raising funds to support Plymtree C of E Primary School. 

This competition is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, The Lego Group or any of its trading names, Channel 4 (in reference to the Lego Masters TV show), or any social media channels including, but not limited to, Facebook. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group of companies which does not sponsor, authorise or endorse this competition.

  1. This competition is open to all UK primary school aged children ( your child does not have to be attending a primary school, primary aged home schoolers are welcome!).
  2. The competition is broken down into 3 age groups entries will be judged by group. You. should use the year group your child has just finished, unless your child is a new school starter in September, in which case mark them as 'New School Starter'. Prizes will be allocated as follows:

3. Parents/Guardians may need to supervise or assist small children with their Lego creation, but it should primarily be the child’s creation.

4. Only original creations can be accepted; please do not send in photos of beautifully built Lego sets, we will not accept them.

5. Parents/Guardians should advise us of their child’s correct school year group upon entry.

6. The judging process will be anonymised; children’s names will not be sent to the judges. Photos will be given a number and sent via Dropbox or similar to the judges to judge virtually.

7. The entry fee must have been paid for all entries prior to the closing date or entries will not be counted.

8. Photos should be of the child’s Lego creation only; please do not include photos of your child. Any photos including children’s faces will not be sent to the judges and therefore will not be counted even when a fee has been paid. 

9. The judges decision is final.

10. The closing date for entries is 4pm GMT on Sunday 16th August 2020. No late entries will be accepted.

11. Winners will be notified by email and/or using the contact number provided at entry by Sunday 30th August 2020. We will do our best to contact winners by phone, but if we are unable to do this, an email will be sent and the prize will be emailed to the email address provided.

12. Winners names per age group will be announced alongside the photo of their Lego creation on our social media channels, via our school website and in any local press. By entering this competition you agree that we can use your child’s name and identify their school year group in this way.

13. Prizes will be in the form of Lego e-gift vouchers, sent directly by email from the Lego website. All terms and conditions relating to their usage can be found on the Lego website.

14. FOPS reserves the right to invite additional judges to assist with the competition.

15. FOPS reserves the right to keep entry fees where the competition rules have not been adhered to.

16. FOPS accepts no liability for payments paid with incorrect bank details.

17. FOPS reserves the right to discount any entries where the competition rules have been broken.

GDPR

Your data is being collected for the purpose of the administration of this competition only. Your data will only be accessed by the administrators of the competition via the dedicated email inbox. 

We will only use your email address and/or phone number if: 

  1. There is a problem with your entry
  2. We need to notify you that your child has won a prize

Data will be kept for 6 months from the closing date and will then be deleted. 

The competition entries will be transferred via Dropbox.
