Welcome from Head of School - Emma Postlethwaite
A very warm welcome to Plymtree C of E Primary School.
Plymtree Church of England Primary school is situated in Plymtree village and welcomes children from Reception class through to year six. Please take a look through the information on the website. We are extremely proud of our school and are delighted to celebrate the successes and achievements of all members of our school community. We are part of the Culm Valley Federation.
We have high expectations for all the children in our school, both academically and behaviourally, and strive to meet the needs of every child.
To secure foundational knowledge, we teach using our five curriculum drivers: a love of reading, rapid recall and mental maths, an enquiry approach to learning, being IT literate and support for mental health and wellbeing. This means we provide an environment that will prepare our pupils for the next stage in their educational journey and for life beyond school.
Our school vision is: ‘inspire, believe, achieve’ which we feel encapsulates what the staff, children, governors and parents work towards in our school. We work especially hard to make sure that children feel safe and happy at our school and provide children with a stimulating and exciting environment in which to learn. .
As a Church of England School, we have a framework of Christian values which underpin all we do in school. These values are: generosity, compassion, courage, forgiveness, friendship, respect, thankfulness, trust, perseverance, justice, service and truthfulness. We also have strong links with St John the Baptist church in Plymtree.
Thank you for visiting our website. If you are looking for a place for your child, please contact our school office who would be happy to arrange a visit. I would be delighted to show you our school.
